While I was in the process of designing my latest pair of earring charms, I decided to create a unique pair of custom huggie earrings. The choice to go custom stemmed from two main challenges I faced: finding reliable retailers that transparently disclose the quality of their smaller diamonds, particularly the ones I wanted for my huggies, and locating offset-diamond huggies with a smaller diameter suitable for my first lobe. My first lobe piercing is positioned lower than usual, a result of having it done at a very young age, making it quite difficult to find ready-made options that fit properly.
To maximize both style and budget, I opted for dual-sided huggies. This innovative design allows me to easily flip them for a fresh appearance. One side features small, round diamonds set in prong settings, offering a classic look, while the other side showcases offset, baguette diamonds, adding a geometric flair that really captures attention. All components, including the huggies and their settings, are crafted from 14K yellow gold, creating a harmonious match with the threadless ends I selected for my other piercings, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic across my jewelry collection.
These stunning huggies were designed by the talented Lauryn Volvar at Earth’s Treasury, who meticulously selected each diamond for their unique qualities. This personalized approach guarantees that you receive precisely what you envision, which is paramount in custom jewelry.
