Purchased by me
I’m excited to share my experience with September’s Ipsy Bag, and true to my word, I’ve got it ready for you! This month’s bag was inspired by the beautiful fall season and included a variety of delightful makeup products designed to celebrate the change in weather and color palette.

Discover the Nip + Fab Salicylic Fix Clay Mask for Clearer Skin
While subscription boxes are often filled with surprises, this month’s offering had a product that didn’t quite suit my current skincare routine. I tend to avoid clay masks due to their drying effects on my skin, despite this particular mask containing a 25% clay blend enriched with brightening and soothing liquorice. As my skincare needs have evolved over the years, I prefer more hydrating solutions. Although I would have loved this product a decade ago, I plan to pass it along as a gift to a colleague’s daughter. I received a deluxe size valued at $2.82 USD.
Indulge in Appeal Cosmetics Melon Crush Sugar Scrub for Soft Skin
As a fan of body scrubs, I was pleased to try this one, which boasts the perfect texture for effective exfoliation. It has a delightful candy watermelon scent, although I’m not particularly fond of sweet fragrances in my beauty products; I prefer the fresh scent of real fruit. While this scrub performs well in the shower, I find myself using it sparingly to make it last longer. There’s something puzzling about the value of this product; this 30mL tube is labeled as the FULL size, which seems quite small for a body scrub. If marketed as a hand scrub, I could understand the pricing better, but for a body product, 30mL will only last about a week! I apparently received the full size valued at $21 USD.
Experience Effortless Blending with the SL Miss Glam Large Fluffy Bird Blending Brush
I was genuinely thrilled to receive this blending brush from a Canadian brand that I’ve admired for years! Stephanie, the owner, has a fantastic reputation, and I finally had the opportunity to try her brushes. Based on the size and taper of the bristles, I anticipate this brush will provide an excellent blending experience for my eyeshadow looks. I received the full size valued at $21.50 USD.
Enhance Your Eye Makeup with Pixi Beauty Eye Define Waterline in Tightline Black
I have previously tried this eyeliner and found it to be exceptional! It offers a level of precision that allows for smooth application along the waterline without the need for excessive pressure. The formula glides effortlessly, enhancing the eyes with just the right amount of definition. Although I’m still mastering the technique of tightlining my upper waterline (I tend to blink quite a bit), lining my lower lash line is a breeze with this product! I received the full size valued at $14 USD.
Explore the Pink Lipps Cosmetics Mini Eyeshadow Palette for Versatile Looks
While I appreciate having a variety of eyeshadow palettes, I wasn’t quite ready for another one this month! The shades within this palette are undeniably beautiful, but since three out of the five shades are matte, I’m hesitant to keep it as I don’t frequently use matte shadows in my makeup routine. The size is ideal and perfectly suited for the Fall season, yet it doesn’t quite fit my preferences this time around! I received the full size valued at $16 USD.
Final verdict on September’s Ipsy Bag: Great Value for Money After considering the exchange rate, September’s Ipsy Bag was valued at an impressive $104.15 CDN, significantly more than the $27.61 CDN I spent on it, including shipping. While I believe that the Appeal Cosmetics scrub is overpriced and contributes to an inflated perception of the bag’s value, overall, I found the collection to be a good representation of quality products, especially with three full-sized items included.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this Ipsy Glam Bag! Do you think it was worth the investment?
