For a while, I was consistently sharing my Sheet Mask Sunday posts, but then life threw a curveball! The ongoing situations down south left me feeling a bit disheartened, making it tough to focus on beauty topics. However, now that things have eased into a somewhat stable state of uncertainty, I’m ready to dive back into discussions about skincare and makeup. With the arrival of Spring in Vancouver and the return of sunshine (sorry to those enduring snow out East!), I feel rejuvenated and eager to share more regularly. I truly miss engaging in this space!
I haven’t tested any new, noteworthy sheet masks recently, but the last one I experienced was from VT Cosmetics. It intrigued me due to its unique second plastic layer and its inclusion in the Reedle Shot series, which has garnered a lot of attention and love from beauty enthusiasts!
Why is this mask a standout? It features both reedles and glutathione in its essence, complemented by a plastic sheet reminiscent of those thin grocery bags for fruits and vegetables. This layer acts like a foil mask, designed to lock in moisture and enhance ingredient absorption. While it might seem gimmicky, the results can be fantastic! Worst case scenario, it’s a fun experience, right?

Anyone who has used foil masks knows how intensely HOT they can feel due to limited airflow. You can expect a similar sensation with this mask, but the sheer relief upon peeling off that plastic layer is simply AMAZING! It’s like a rush of refreshing cold air!

Price: $7 CDN
Benefits: Deeply moisturizes, smoothens, and enhances radiance for a brighter complexion
Aroma: Subtle to nonexistent
Essence Consistency: Clear and slightly viscous
Recommended Use Duration:Â 30 minutes.
Mask Thickness: Thin, with the protective plastic layer being even thinner than standard foil masks
Mask Fit: Fit is exceptionally nice!
Tackiness Level: Medium
Hydration Level: High. It provided so much moisture that I felt no need to add additional hydration!
Additional Notes: N/A

Overall Assessment: This mask provided an INCREDIBLE level of hydration, but the essence did take some time to fully absorb into my skin. I wouldn’t recommend using this mask during the summer months or in high humidity conditions. However, during the colder winter months, it’s definitely going to be a staple in my skincare routine! While I’m unsure about the effectiveness of the steam wrap feature, it certainly does add warmth to the mask experience — a little sauna effect that some may find delightful!
