It has been over a month since I last applied nail polish, as I waited for my nails to grow back and recover from previous breaks. My index nail still hasn’t returned to its previous length, despite my healthy diet and overall well-being. It’s a mystery why sometimes nails don’t respond to all the biotin and nutritious foods we consume; they can be unpredictable.

During my recent vacation, I found myself less inclined to paint my nails. Instead, I focused on enjoying the outdoors, taking long walks, and indulging in restful naps. It may sound dull, but my body craved this downtime. After a vigorous 5km walk yesterday, I took a two-hour nap and was in bed before midnight, a clear indication of how tired I felt.

Despite my relaxed approach to nail care, I felt accomplished for applying nail polish and took photos during my walk yesterday. I showcased Hermes Iris Violetta #44, a creamy dark lilac from last year’s Spring/Summer line. I have always admired Hermes polishes for their excellent application, and this shade is no exception. For full coverage, apply two coats, or if you prefer a heavier first coat, one might suffice!
I decided to add a layer of Rainbow Honey’s Cutie Pie, a pink glitter polish intended to include pink and white heart-shaped glitters. it proved challenging to load the hearts onto the brush. As I was painting my nails at 11:30 PM on Saturday night, I opted not to spend extra time searching for the hearts within the glitter.

Wishing everyone a wonderful long weekend! For those who don’t have one, enjoy your day off when it arrives later this week!
