Introducing the Splash Squad: My New Adventure!
Last weekend, after an invigorating swim at Kirra, I had a revelation. Feeling drained from my own thoughts and ambitions, I decided to reach out to some friends via text. I invited them to join me for a splash at 6:30 am. While we may not be swimming in the traditional sense, the energy and joy we share make it worthwhile.
I must say, this experience is utterly rejuvenating! I genuinely believe it was a brilliant idea that came to me, revitalizing my spirit.
We all discuss how fantastic we feel, ready to tackle the day with renewed clarity and energy. Naomi suggested opening our eyes underwater to benefit our sinuses—although we might need a medical confirmation on that! Yet, I’m a firm believer in the power of the mind, so I give it a shot.
Interestingly, I’m not a fan of surfing or cold water. That’s precisely why I opt for Kirra; the waves are manageable, and I tend to overlook the chilly temperatures, reminding myself, “It’s all good once you dive in.”
After all that saltwater exposure, my skin felt tight and dry. Thankfully, Glory Oil provided the hydration it desperately needed. I was practically making sounds of satisfaction while applying it. I plan to stock up on this during my sea swimming season.
Sandy Sonya signing off.
