For avid participants in Butterly campaigns, it’s usually expected to share experiences solely on social media platforms and post reviews on the Butterly or brand’s official website. However, I felt an undeniable urge to express my thoughts through a blog post. Perhaps it’s the nostalgia of blogging rekindled by the extra time I have this week or the memories associated with CLEAN, which was among the first fragrances I added to my collection. Regardless of the reason, I wanted to give this 3mL rollerball sample the appreciation it deserves.
When I embarked on my fragrance journey, I gravitated towards more literal and fresh scents like GAP’s Grass, CLEAN’s Shower Fresh, and Warm Cotton. In fact, I’m wearing Warm Cotton as I type this! The aroma of freshly laundered clothes has always resonated with me, and Warm Cotton encapsulated that essence perfectly. Over the years, CLEAN has broadened its fragrance offerings, introducing unique, light, and layerable scents. I fondly recall attending a launch event for their CLEAN Reserve line, where the fragrances showcased a sophisticated complexity that surpassed the simplicity of Shower Fresh. It was refreshing to see scents that appealed to both men and women without overly floral or feminine notes.
Experiencing Whipped Cherry marks my first encounter with a “Fruity Gourmand” fragrance from CLEAN. Initially, I was apprehensive about how the cherry note would translate, as I typically don’t enjoy the scent of cherries, except in their natural form. This fragrance is designed to evoke a layered cocktail experience, with a rich blend of pralines and vanilla cream at its heart, topped with a hint of wild cherry. To my delight, I found that Whipped Cherry leaned more towards a creamy vanilla scent, with the cherry note pleasantly understated. I perceived a rich creaminess and a slight nuttiness in the fragrance even before consulting the official notes, affirming my olfactory instincts were spot on!
Top Notes: Wild Cherry, Pineapple, Coconut Water, Orange Zest
Mid Notes: Almond Blossom, Praline, Mimosa, Osmanthus
Dry Notes: Vanilla Cream, Cedarwood, Musk, Sandalwood

Final Verdict on Fragrance Performance: The longevity and dry-down of a fragrance are crucial in determining its suitability for my personal taste. I’m pleased to share that even after eight hours, I can still detect Whipped Cherry on my wrists, although it has evolved into a creamy almond/praline aroma that makes me crave dessert! This scent definitely leans towards the sweeter side, and out of consideration for my boss and office partner, who dislikes vanilla scents, I would probably opt for a 10mL rollerball to wear on days he’s not around!
