This year marks a significant milestone for us: our products are now available for purchase through estheticians and skincare professionals across the United States for the very first time! I recognize that you, our loyal clientele, wish for the opportunity to experience our products in person. Touching, smelling, and trying something new, or perhaps indulging in a Renée Rouleau facial, is something you’ve been eagerly seeking.

I’ve turned down numerous opportunities to sell my products through larger retailers, as I prioritize maintaining the integrity of my brand. I am not interested in the path taken by many brands that prioritize sales over quality. Founders often lose their essence when pressured by investors, and that’s a path I refuse to take. (I proudly own 100% of my company and discuss these values on the Glossy podcast.) The prospect of having my products in physical locations (not just online) is thrilling, and I am honored to work with estheticians and trained skincare professionals who truly understand my vision. These individuals embody my values, and I couldn’t be more excited!

Meet Our New Team of Expert Estheticians!

On the topic of estheticians, my previous experiences operating skincare spas in Dallas and Boston exposed me to a wealth of knowledge from these professionals. After we closed the Dallas spas five years ago, I transitioned to being solely a product company and missed the insights estheticians bring. To reconnect with my roots, we are now hiring more estheticians to fill roles in product development, customer support, social media, and marketing, ultimately enhancing your experience. Recently, we welcomed estheticians Amanda and Maddie, who will be your points of contact when you call or email us. Our commitment to providing that personal touch remains strong.

It’s always a surreal moment to reflect on being in business for this long. My mission has always been to empower others to feel more confident in their skin, and I am genuinely thankful that your support allows me to continue this journey! Continuing the ‘FLO-vember’ Challenge Tradition in Honor of My Husband

As many of you know, my beloved husband Florian, who served as the COO of our company for 22 years, passed away six years ago after a brief battle with cancer. During his life, we committed to health goals every November, his birthday month, and called it ‘The FLO-vember Challenge.’ (Burpees were usually involved — not my favorite!) My team and I carry on this tradition, reminding us of the importance of maintaining good health while keeping his spirit alive. I know he would be proud.

Bridging the Gap: Estheticians and Dermatologists Unite for Skincare Innovations

One of the most rewarding aspects of being in the beauty industry is the opportunity to meet and learn from brilliant minds. This field is filled with innovative and creative individuals, and I am continually inspired by their insights.

A major highlight in November was my participation in the Science of Skincare Summit, where I had the privilege of serving as a speaker for the second consecutive year. This year, I took on three roles: speaker, co-chair of the esthetician track, and exhibitor showcasing our product line. What makes this summit particularly special is its unique ability to bring together estheticians and dermatologists, fostering collaboration that has historically been rare. Our shared goal is to enhance lives through improved skin health, although our methodologies may differ.

This dynamic is evolving, and we are gaining mutual respect for our respective approaches to skincare. It was a privilege to represent my fellow estheticians on a panel alongside renowned dermatologists (including Dr. Pimple Popper!). I’m honored to continue as co-chair for next year’s event, so if you are a licensed skincare professional, I warmly invite you to join us.
