Hello, Hex Squad! Today, I’m excited to share enchanting Fairy Makeup Inspiration featuring the Blend Bunny Lure palette. This look was influenced by the soft aqua eyeshadow trend that I’ve been seeing everywhere lately. To me, Fairy Makeup embodies ethereal and dreamlike qualities, enhanced by delicate splashes of color such as aqua, lavender, pink, and mint. To elevate this look, consider adding self-adhesive face jewels for a magical touch. If you are a fan of celestial themes, you’ll adore the set of fairy face gems I recently added to my collection!
Spread the Love for Indie Blogging
This week, I’m celebrating 16 incredible years of blogging! If you enjoy my makeup looks and reviews, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share my content on platforms like Reddit, Quora, and Facebook. Unfortunately, Google tends to prioritize larger corporate content over small indie blogs like mine, making it harder for my posts to reach you. By sharing on social media, you help boost visibility for authentic voices, ensuring that real human perspectives, like mine, continue to thrive in the digital space. If you value seeing genuine swatches and insights from a fellow makeup enthusiast, your support in sharing my work means the world.

For reference, my skin tone is very fair with a neutral cool base, complemented by muted yellow undertones. When exposed to sunlight, I tend to develop an olive-yellow hue.

In this post, I may refer to Blend Bunny as BB in some instances for brevity.
Achieving the Perfect Brows
For my brows, I used the Pixi Deep Plum Endless Silky Eye Pen, a water-resistant eye pencil that is cruelty-free, although it is not vegan. To set my brows, I applied Nyx Clear The Brow Glue, which is a vegan option.
Creating Stunning Eye Looks
For the eyes, I began with Devinah Eyeshadow Primer, which is cruelty-free but not vegan. Next, I utilized the Blend Bunny Jellyfish shade from the Lure Palette in the inner crease, followed by BB Sea Nymph in the outer crease. For the lid, I applied Blend Bunny Pearl, topped with a layer of BB Bioluminescent on the outer corner. The lower lash line featured Buxom Demure Dolly Pencil, with Blend Bunny X Marks the Spot smudged above it. Finally, I blended BB Storm Ahead with the lower lid, completing the look with Covergirl Ultramarine Black Lash Blast Cleantopia Mascara, which is vegan.
Flawless Face Makeup
To prep my face, I started with the Elf Power Grip Primer, a vegan product, followed by Danessa Myricks Shade 1 Yummy Skin Serum Skin Tint, which is also vegan. For blush, I used Wet n’ Wild Nudist Society and Naked Brown Color Icon Blushes, which are cruelty-free but not vegan. I added a touch of Too Faced Candy Clouds Cloud Crush Blurring Blush for a soft finish, topped off with Laura Geller Fair Balance-n-Brighten Foundation and set it all with OneSize On Til Dawn Spray.
Beautiful Lips to Complete the Look
For my lips, I chose the Buxom Dangerous Dolly pencil, which is cruelty-free but not vegan, and topped it with Half-Magic Y2k Cherub Magic Drip Glitter Lip Gloss, a vegan option.
Step-by-Step Guide to Recreate the Fairy Makeup Look
- Start by applying Jellyfish (matte lavender) to the inner crease using a Sigma E27 brush.
- Create a wing shape at the outer lid, blending outwards with Sea Nymph (matte aqua) using the same Sigma E27 brush.
- Gently pat Pearl (white multichrome with pink shift) onto the lid with a Sigma E54 brush.
- Layer Bioluminescent (blue multichrome) onto the outer corner of the lid using the Sigma E54 brush.
- Run Demure Dolly (shimmering mauve) pencil along the lower lash line.
- Smudge X Marks the Spot (deep burgundy wine matte) over Demure Dolly using It Brushes #125 Smokey Liner Brush.
- Blend Storm Ahead (soft cool-toned greige matte) into X Marks the Spot with the same brush.
- For an extra touch of whimsy, add self-adhesive fairy face gems around your face.
Incorporating self-adhesive face gems is one of my favorite ways to elevate any makeup look, adding a unique sparkle!
Perfect Occasions to Wear Fairy Makeup Inspiration
Wondering where you can wear this enchanting Fairy Makeup Inspiration? The beauty of this look is that it’s versatile enough for any occasion! Personally, I wore it to my doctor appointment, while running errands, during grocery shopping, at dinner, and even while spending time with friends like Mickey and Dustin. Feel free to wear it wherever you feel inspired!
Half-Magic Magic Drip Glitter Lip Gloss: A Detailed Review
While glosses haven’t always been my favorite, I’ve found myself gravitating towards them more lately. My top non-plumping choice is the Half-Magic Magic Drip Glitter Lip Gloss. I own a few shades, including Y2k Cherub (bubblegum pink), Frosty B*tch (icy peach), and Problem Child (black). This lip gloss is incredibly comfortable to wear, featuring a beautiful blend of glitter that catches the eye. It’s not sticky, which means my hair doesn’t get caught in it, although it isn’t smooch-proof. I anticipate needing to touch it up often, but it’s worth it for the stunning effect it provides.
Review of Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Soothing Serum Skin Tint Foundation
I’ve had a mixed experience with the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Soothing Serum Skin Tint Foundation. On some days, it looks fabulous, while on others, I feel less than polished. I appreciate the light coverage and radiant finish, but struggled with longevity. However, when paired with the Elf Power Grip Primer, it performed beautifully throughout the day, delivering the results I’ve longed for.
To achieve the best application with the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Soothing Serum Skin Tint Foundation, I recommend starting with a small amount on the back of your hand. Then, dab your brush into it and blend outward from the center of your face for a seamless finish.
A Comprehensive Review of Buxom Power Line Lasting Eyeliner

I currently own two shades from the Buxom Power Line Lasting Eyeliner collection: Demure Dolly (shimmering mauve) and Throw Shade (warm grey). Demure Dolly is a stunning cool-toned shimmering mauve eyeliner, while Throw Shade is a warm grey that reminds me of MAC Concrete eyeshadow. Despite my fondness for these colors, I find the formula somewhat challenging; it tends to tug on the skin during application, which I find uncomfortable. Additionally, it can become crumbly if too much product is twisted up. I don’t recommend purchasing this eyeliner in its current form without a revamp to improve its glide.
Demure Dolly was exactly what I envisioned for my Fairy Makeup Inspiration, though I wish the formula was gentler on sensitive eyes like mine.
Wet n’ Wild Color Icon Blush Review: My Experience

Recently, I purchased the Wet n’ Wild Color Icon Blushes in Nudist Society and Naked Brown, hoping they would be neutrally toned. However, I was disappointed to find that both shades lean heavily orange against my skin tone. Specifically, Nude Brown is nearly unwearable for me, while Nudist Society might be salvaged as a bronzer or blending shade. It’s perplexing that Nudist Society appears to be a peachy orange with gold glitter, which was unexpected in this Fairy Makeup Inspiration.
Using these blushes almost led to a makeup disaster with my ethereal look, as I hadn’t anticipated the warm undertones. To counterbalance, I had to incorporate other powders to blend and tone down the orange hues. Due to the warmth of these blushes against my very fair neutral cool skin, I had to select a warmer lip color as well.
The formula of the Wet n’ Wild Color Icon Blushes is smooth and highly pigmented, blending effortlessly. I do wish they offered more cool-toned shades suitable for fair skin like mine. If you find a color that works for you, I highly recommend these blushes for their excellent performance and affordability at under $4.
