Foundation is still one of my most favourite makeup products to try and even though I have slowed down on other types of makeup products, a new foundation always peaks my interest. The Christian Louboutin
Le Fluide Sublimating Fluid Foundation has been on my wishlist since its release last year, and I finally picked it up a few weeks ago!
The packaging is everything you would expect from Christian Louboutin, with maybe a charm missing or the ability to transform this foundation into a necklace like their lipsticks LOL. The bottle is made of angled glass with the “CL” logo on the front, and the cap is metal with the iconic studs around the crown. One thing Louboutin does extremely well is create packaging that displays beautifully on a bathroom or vanity countertop.
When I first tested this foundation out at a Louboutin makeup event a few weeks ago at Holt Renfrew, we just did half of my face where we removed the foundation I had on and applied the Louboutin foundation onto my bare skin without any skin prep. My skin looked hydrated even WITHOUT any moisturizer, so at that point, I already knew that this formula would work for me!
Below I have a before and after of the foundation as well as a video of my half my face with the foundation and the other half with bare skin.

The wear time is perfect for my 10-12 hour work day, and even last week when I was masking because I was coughing, this foundation still looked amazing! Please note that when I use ANY foundation, I always use a primer and setting spray. Oil does not seem to show through even at the end of the day, nor does the foundation look patchy.

Final verdict: For a formula that feels so long-wearing, I feel like it should be cakey and heavy feeling, but instead, my skin feels like skin and looks like a much better version of my skin! I know skin tints have been all the rage these past two years, but there is something to be said about an honest-to-goodness foundation that covers, brings luminosity to the skin, lasts all day, and feels like nothing! This was well worth my $105, and I look forward to adding the matching powder next summer!
