This vegan liquid foundation promises 24-hour wear with a luminous, no-transfer matte finish that is infused with “Dermaglam Complex” – a skincare concoction that smoothes and softens the complexion. While the formula is long-wearing, it is comfortable, lightweight, buildable, and still allows your skin to look like skin. 

The packaging is everything you would expect from Christian Louboutin, with maybe a charm missing or the ability to transform this foundation into a necklace like their lipsticks LOL. The bottle is made of angled glass with the “CL” logo on the front, and the cap is metal with the iconic studs around the crown. One thing Louboutin does extremely well is create packaging that displays beautifully on a bathroom or vanity countertop.

I was concerned that the formula would look too heavy on my skin or worse, emphasize any dry patches with its more matte finish, but I was wonderfully incorrect! If anything, my skin looks brighter, more luminous, even-toned, and hydrated. 

When I first tested this foundation out at a Louboutin makeup event a few weeks ago at Holt Renfrew, we just did half of my face where we removed the foundation I had on and applied the Louboutin foundation onto my bare skin without any skin prep. My skin looked hydrated even WITHOUT any moisturizer, so at that point, I already knew that this formula would work for me!

This foundation has a slight gel consistency and can be applied with either a brush or sponge, but if you use a sponge (which I prefer), all you need is a half pump of product! This formula just stretches over the skin, and the product just keeps on going and going! Yes, it’s $105, but this will easily last you 2-3 times longer than your other liquid foundations!
