What sets this collagen mask apart? This remarkable mask features Glycine Soja Phytoplacenta Extract, a powerful antioxidant known for its ability to stimulate collagen synthesis. Additionally, it includes hydrolyzed collagen, brightening niacinamide, cica, propolis extract, and hyaluronic acid, all of which contribute to a well-rounded skincare experience aimed at promoting hydration and skin health.
This collagen mask is uniquely designed with what VT Cosmetics refers to as a “semi-gel mask with elastic texture.” This innovative texture is unlike any I have encountered before. It combines the properties of a fabric mask with a jelly-like consistency, making it not only refreshing but also incredibly stretchy and comfortable to wear, enhancing the overall application experience.
As you can see from the photo, the mask was thoroughly soaked in essence, which added a delightful weight and a “slip-slidy” feel. This necessitated some adjustment during application to ensure an even fit and maximum benefit from the serum.
Step 1 (Essence) featured a classic essence consistency, being clear and slightly tacky, which is ideal for prepping the skin.
Step 3 (Cream) felt somewhat excessive, given the mask’s already intense hydration. Even though I applied the entire packet of cream, I woke up to find a good amount of product still on my skin’s surface. Thankfully, I didn’t find myself stuck to my pillow throughout the night!
Comprehensive Mask Summary:
Price: $7 CDN
What it does: Restores skin elasticity for a plump, healthy appearance.
Scent: Slightly floral, offering a subtle and pleasant aroma.
Essence Type: Milky and gooey, providing a luxurious feel.
Duration: 30 minutes, perfect for a quick skincare boost.
Thickness: Thin, allowing for a comfortable wear without bulkiness.
Mask Fit: Overall pretty good, though I noticed the area around my moustache slid down a bit during wear.
Tackiness: Medium, providing a nice balance without feeling overly sticky.
Hydration: HIGH, leaving the skin feeling deeply moisturized.
Other notes: In the future, I might skip the third step, as I found the included moisturizer to be quite thick for my skin after using the mask.
Final Verdict on the VT Cosmetics Cica Collagen Mask: While I found the final step to be slightly excessive in hydration, I appreciate the unique semi-gel texture of the mask. I believe that in my next purchase, I will opt for a lighter moisturizer instead of using the one included in the pack, but I am genuinely excited about the potential for stimulating collagen production with consistent use!
