The collaboration was inspired by tennis lover and IGK brand partner Isabela Grutman.
“This partnership between IGK and Prince is exciting because it bridges the gap between being active and taking care of your hair,” said Grutman. “First Class is my go-to product for refreshing my hair throughout the day. It allows me to go from being on the court, directly to my meetings, without worrying about my hair.”
First Class is IGK’s deepest cleansing dry shampoo. Cleansing the hair and scalp, it eliminates oil and odor so users can go longer between washes – even after workouts. The heavy-duty dry shampoo leaves hair looking and feeling clean, refreshed and volumized, according to to the brand.
“We love when IGK products are presented in the context of where they are supposed to be used – and nothing makes more sense than dry shampoo after a good tennis match,” said Dan Langer, LBP Group president, prestige hair. “When given the opportunity to partner with Prince – the heritage brand of the sport – we immediately thought we could have a lot of fun merging sports and beauty. Launching around the US Open – the pinnacle of American tennis – was the perfect timing. Next year, we hope to see First Class Dry Shampoo as a courtside staple.”
The innovative limited-edition packaging, inspired by tennis bag essentials, unites beauty and sports, for an item that can be used both on and off the court.
The dry shampoo is 100% vegan, cruelty free, and formulated without sulfates, silicones, parabens, phthalates, or mineral oil. The limited-edition product retails for $32 and can be purchased on IGKHair.com and PrinceTennis.com.
