Who doesn’t appreciate a fantastic modeling mask? Although they can be a bit messy, these masks are designed primarily as a skincare treatment. For true skincare enthusiasts, they provide an opportunity to unleash that inner “mad scientist” while caring for your skin! The previous modeling masks I tried were typically standalone products, but Leaders Cosmetics has now introduced three innovative multi-step modeling mask kits featuring Collagen, Vitamin C, and Tea Tree. Each kit is priced at just $7, offering a complete skincare regimen that is both affordable and effective!

I received the Collagen 3X Boosting Modeling Mask, which is specifically designed to strengthen thin skin and enhance skin elasticity. This mask is best utilized during your nighttime routine, as it requires some time to set and will be far more enjoyable if you’re not rushing to leave the house. Incorporating this mask into your evening regimen can transform your skincare experience into a spa-like ritual that promotes relaxation and rejuvenation.

Step 1: Activate with the Boosting Solution

This initial step features a milky essence that prepares and smooths the skin. It utilizes hydrolyzed sponge spicules infused with hyaluronic acid, collagen, and ascorbic acid to create a unique application experience (how intriguing!). You might recognize spicules from the viral VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot, making this booster a bit prickly! I embarked on this mask journey without any prior research and was pleasantly surprised by the slight tingling sensation! The amount provided was generous, definitely enough for my face and neck application.
Step 2: Infuse with the Boosting Ampoule

Ingredients: Water, Glycereth-26, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycerin, Betaine, Panthenol, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Allantoin, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Caprylyl Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, Collagen, Disodium EDTA, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hyaluronate, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Sorbitan Isostearate, Heptasodium Hexacarboxymethyl Dipeptide-12, Copper Tripeptide-1, Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Hexapeptide-11, and Hexapeptide-9.
This boosting ampoule is packed with collagen, panthenol (which helps reduce transepidermal water loss), and a blend of six unique peptides aimed at firming the skin. The texture of this ampoule resembles a lightweight serum, with minimal scent, and the quantity provided was more than sufficient for my face and neck application, ensuring an even distribution of its potent ingredients.
Step 3: Create the Boosting Modeling Mask with Powder

Ingredients: Cellulose Gum, Diatomaceous Earth, Calcium Sulfate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Algin, Kaolin, Allantoin, Trehalose, Glucose, Beta Vulgaris (Beet) Root Powder, Dehydroacetic Acid, Magnesium Oxide, Betaine, Hydrolyzed Collagen (1,000ppm), Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Beta Vulgaris (Beet) Root Extract, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Adenosine, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Copper Tripeptide-1, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1.

This final step includes a mask powder that is enriched with hydrolyzed collagen and various peptides to enhance skin elasticity significantly. As you embrace your inner mad scientist, you will need to mix the provided powder with approximately 50mL of cold water in a designated container until you create a vibrant purple paste! This fun process adds an element of excitement to your skincare routine, making it feel less like a chore and more like an enjoyable experience.

Using the spatula provided, generously apply the mask onto your face! There was still plenty of product left over since I opted not to use it on my neck, but remember, the thicker the application, the more satisfying it will be to peel off! After approximately 15-20 minutes, you’ll notice the mask hardens, and it’s time to peel or roll it off to unveil beautifully plump and hydrated skin! I prefer to start peeling from my forehead and gradually work my way down, allowing for a smoother removal experience.

Final Thoughts on the Experience: After removing the mask, I found that my skin did not require any additional moisturizer, feeling visibly bouncier and more hydrated than before! While I’m not quite ready to include modeling masks into my regular routine, I see them as a delightful monthly “event” given their multi-step process and the messiness compared to my usual sheet mask ritual. However, they’re incredibly entertaining, making it enjoyable to know that my skin is receiving substantial benefits. I’m definitely interested in trying the other two masks to compare their effectiveness and see how they differ from this collagen-focused option.
