As summer heats up, a sheet mask adorned with snowflakes and a claim of “-7 degrees” instantly piqued my interest. Garnier has once again captured my attention with their Cryo Jelly cooling effect sheet mask, and I was eager to discover just how refreshing it truly is!
What sets this mask apart? Featuring a vibrant blue-green jelly essence, this mask cools the skin with menthol while simultaneously hydrating and plumping the complexion thanks to hyaluronic acid and glycerin. The claim that it can reduce skin temperature by 7 degrees was hard to quantify, but I definitely felt a refreshing coolness!
In terms of ingredients, while the key elements may not dominate the list, which seems to be a common trend with Garnier’s sheet masks, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience nonetheless!
This sheet mask, like the one I tried last week, is both compostable and vegan, which is an excellent feature! I do hope that one day we can achieve recyclable packaging for sheet masks as well!
The mask fit my face perfectly, and the jelly essence was not overly thick or heavy, unlike some Korean masks I have tried. The mask material felt soft and plush, soaking up just the right amount of essence to create a “plump” feeling. It was also very easy to apply and adjust without hassle. There’s nothing worse than having to reposition a mask that keeps slipping into your hair.

Application Duration: 30 minutes. I admittedly exceeded the recommended 15 minutes, but I wanted to ensure the drier areas on my forehead and around my mouth received ample hydration.
Thickness: Thin to medium
Mask Fit: Excellent! It was quick and easy to fit and adjust to my face!
Tackiness Level: Light to medium; I did not feel sticky against my pillow, nor did I have any hair sticking to my face!
Hydration Effect: Exceptional! I completely forgot about applying moisturizer afterward, but keep in mind it is summer!
Additional Notes: It provided a very minty sensation without causing any eye irritation, which I absolutely loved! This cooling effect would be fantastic for alleviating headaches!
Overall Impressions: These masks frequently go on sale, and when they do, I will definitely stock up! I have a particular fondness for minty masks, which can be rare, as they may not suit every skin type. I am excited to use this product again!
