Last year, I discovered the Gym People leggings while searching for thicker, high-waisted leggings that are squat-proof and available in vibrant colors that match my hair. I fell for the Fuchsia High Waisted Yoga Pants from Gym People, as they fulfill my needs perfectly. They are stylish enough to wear beyond yoga class, and I paired them with one of my favorite Black Milk tops, the Romancer 2. I adore the swirly fabric accents along the sides of this tunic top.

The stunning black jade necklace I’m wearing is a special gift from my partner, Dave. He purchased it for me during our trip to New Zealand, and I absolutely cherish its geometric design and the thick chain. It truly is a standout piece in my collection.

I’m eager to share my detailed review of The Gym People Thick High Waisted Yoga Pants with you. Standing just under 5’4″, I often find that leggings come with excess length, which can be an issue. However, I’ve purchased the Gym People Thick High Waisted Yoga Pants, which feature handy pockets, in multiple colors, including fuchsia to match my hair (I own four pairs), bright purple, black leopard, blue, and classic black.

Most of the leggings I own are crafted from a blend of 88% polyamide and 12% spandex, except for the Bright Purple pair, which is made from 80% polyamide and 20% spandex.

I wear these high-waisted leggings for various activities, including yoga, walking, workouts, running errands, and lounging around the house. The material is incredibly smooth and comfortable against my skin. I appreciate that the side pockets easily fit my iPhone 15 Pro Max without any hassle, which adds convenience to my daily routine. I rarely use the tiny waistband pocket, but I’m glad it’s there if I ever need it.

In terms of care, I wash my Gym People high-waisted yoga pants in cold water on a delicate cycle or hand wash them with Soak detergent. I always hang them to dry, as avoiding the dryer helps maintain the fabric’s integrity. Heat can degrade spandex over time, so air drying is essential. Previously, I owned Lululemon leggings, but in my opinion, these Gym People leggings are softer, thicker, and overall of better quality. While Lululemon leggings can cost over $100 and don’t always include side pockets, the Gym People leggings are currently priced at just $22.99 and outperform them in many aspects.
