Purchased by me sooooooo long ago!
To begin with, my nails have endured quite a journey and are currently in the process of rejuvenating after being reduced to mere stubs. In the accompanying photo, one of my nails was already on the brink of breaking, yet I attempted a quick fix using nail polish to patch it up. However, I was well aware that it was only a matter of time before it fully succumbed to the inevitable, which sadly occurred just a few days later! Now, I’m left with tiny nubbins, but I’m optimistic that by next Monday, they will have grown back enough to participate in our month of green festivities.

For today’s exploration, I decided to showcase a nostalgic gem from Rainbow Honey called My Girl. For those of us who fondly remember that iconic movie, it was likely our first experience confronting the heart-wrenching theme of losing a friend while we sat in a dark theater, tears streaming down our faces. I must admit, I only watched that film once, as witnessing Macaulay Culkin being swarmed by bees was more than enough to leave a lasting impression on me.
My Girl is a delightful light pink crème nail polish that features a stunning combination of micro magenta and gold glitter, along with some larger hexagonal pink glitter pieces. I found that applying just two coats provided sufficient opacity for this polish. However, in natural lighting, I noticed that this particular shade of pink closely matched my skin tone, causing it to blend in seamlessly. I personally prefer my nails to showcase a bit more contrast against my skin tone, which is why I’m contemplating different shades for future applications.
Happy Monday to everyone navigating this crazy world we inhabit right now!
