Over the past month, I have been juggling a few split shifts at Chaumet located in Oakridge Park. I underestimated the exhaustion that comes with training at one location while also trying to manage my responsibilities at my home store, where I typically work three days a week. For most managers, this schedule might suffice. with team members on vacation and the increasing need to merchandise and organize stock, not to mention a growing client base that I prefer to manage in my meticulous “type A Jayne way,” I find myself working more than 40 hours each week just to keep everything running smoothly. On a positive note, I have successfully maintained my daily sheet masking routine, which is one small aspect of my life that feels wonderfully organized!
I have reviewed nearly all the sheet masks released by Garnier, as I like to keep a close eye on the quality of sheet masks available in North America. When Garnier first introduced sheet masks, they were thicker and the overall experience was satisfactory, but still not comparable to the quality of Asian sheet masks.
The Pro-Retinol Smoothing Serum mask is formulated with acai extract, glycerin, and pro-retinol, which is a gentler derivative of vitamin A. This mask contains the equivalent of half a bottle of serum and features a cream-based essence.

Fit of the Mask: Impressive! It took me just five seconds to perfectly position this mask on my face!
Tackiness Level: None
Hydration Quality: Excellent! My skin felt soft and nourished, allowing me to comfortably layer a bit of moisturizer on top.
Additional Notes: This mask is vegan and can be composted at home.
Final Verdict: Similar to the Garnier masks released a decade ago, my primary concern has been that the active ingredients do not feature prominently on the ingredients list, and this mask is no exception. Surprisingly, I am not upset by this. I appreciate how soft my skin felt after use and how effortlessly I could apply the mask. While the ingredient quality in Korean sheet masks is typically superior and available at comparable price points, I wouldn’t completely abandon my Korean masks for this one. I would consider purchasing this mask again, especially when it goes on sale, which happens quite frequently!
