Founded by the renowned Dr. Conan Park, Genabelle is a distinguished Korean skincare line that specializes in addressing issues associated with troubled and sensitive skin types. Although it’s not explicitly stated, I suspect that Dr. Park is a dermatologist with a considerable following in Korea, often referred to as the “doctor to the stars.” While the celebrity endorsement was not my primary motivation, I was impressed by Genabelle’s commitment to high-quality ingredients and proprietary formulations. What sets this mask apart? It features a potent concentration of glutathione, a powerful antioxidant, alongside niacinamide and a Vita Complex composed of nourishing ingredients like kakadu plum, seabuckthorn fruit, and camu camu fruit extract.

The initial scent of the mask was quite surprising! It has a rather strong odor reminiscent of sulphur or rotten eggs, which lingered throughout the application. My husband jokingly referred to me as “fart face” due to the unpleasant smell. However, with my extensive skincare experience, I knew that sometimes, the less appealing scents can correlate with impressive results. And indeed, I was hopeful that the effectiveness of this mask would outweigh the olfactory challenge!

What it does: Brightens and revitalizes dull and uneven skin texture, promoting a luminous complexion.

Scent: The initial fragrance was unexpected, characterized by a strong sulphur-like odor, which may not be to everyone’s liking.

Essence Type: Clear and slightly jelly-like, allowing for even distribution across the skin.

Duration: Recommended for 10-20 minutes, but I found there was more than enough essence for comfortable wear up to 30 minutes!

Thickness: Medium thickness, providing a nice balance of comfort and efficacy.

Mask Fit: Excellent fit with a snug nose piece and wide “moustache” area. The thoughtful cuts around the eyes ensured the mask conformed nicely to my facial structure.

Tackiness: Lightly tacky upon removal, which dissipated quickly.

Hydration: Impressive hydration; my skin felt rejuvenated and plump.

Other notes: After use, my husband remarked on how bright my complexion appeared, affirming the mask’s effectiveness!
