A charity bookshop in the Accrington Arndale Centre is set to close its doors for good next month and is yet another casualty in the centre.
Accrington & District Blind Society, which aims to help the blind and visually impaired, opened the bookshop in 2014.
Owners say the shop will officially close on September 24, making it the fourth shop to leave the maligned mall this year.
Funds raised at the shop go towards the blind and those suffering from sight loss.

In a statement they said: “We regret to announce that we will be closing our Bookshop in the Arndale Centre on September 24.
“Despite the efforts of our workers it is no longer viable for the charity to operate the shop.
“We thank our staff, volunteers and customers for all their support over the years.”
Since the announcement many say they are sad to see the shop go.
Russell Taylor-Riley said: “Me and my partner ran the shop all day every other Saturday for four years as volunteers up to Covid.
“We met some lovely people, some were regulars customers who we got to know very well and have the banter with them.”
It’s not the first shop at the Arndale to close in recent months.
In February, the centre waved goodbye to Bodycare
The company decided against renewing the lease in the shopping centre and said there are no plans at this moment to bring another store to the town.
Iceland and Oddie’s bakery also announced their departures.
The Arndale Centre now houses a limited selection of shops, with WHSmith, The Lancashire Tea Rooms, uVape, Holland and Barrett, Poundland, Shoe Zone, Steals and Savers, and some charity shops.
