Babylon Dental Care is excited to share some wonderful news about the expansion of our dedicated team! We are welcoming Dr. Chelsea Diamond to our practice starting on October 6, 2023. As a native of Merrick and a proud graduate of Calhoun High School, Dr. Diamond brings a rich understanding of the Long Island community and is eager to enhance the dental care we provide to our valued patients. She is already a part of our family, being married to Dr. David Hsu, who has become a familiar face at our Patchogue office since he joined our team in April.
Interestingly, Dr. Hsu’s positive experiences at Babylon Dental Care played a significant role in Dr. Diamond’s decision to join our practice. She shared, “Knowing David has loved working here and had an amazing experience inspired my choice. We both appreciate the genuine care for patients and the philosophy that drives their dental practice. It’s refreshing because not all dental offices share this level of commitment.”
Jenn Brown, our practice’s Director of Operations, wholeheartedly supports this sentiment. “I’m thrilled to welcome a husband-and-wife duo to our team! It certainly worked out well for Cliff and me as we established Babylon Dental Care over the past 40 years. Their partnership is a blessing, and I am eager to see how they will collaborate to provide exceptional care for our families,” she remarked.
For Dr. Diamond, the field of dentistry has been more than just a career; it has been a lifelong passion. From an early age, she was drawn to the dental profession, noting, “I had straight teeth and didn’t need braces, but my older sister did. I was so envious of her that I crafted my own retainers using paperclips and gum.” This playful yet innovative spirit not only highlights her creativity but also underscores the deep-rooted passion for dentistry that has shaped her career.
Dr. Diamond pursued her undergraduate studies at Binghamton University before earning her dental degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ, where she first met Dr. Hsu. Afterward, they relocated to Austin, TX, a strategic midpoint between his family in Los Angeles and her family on Long Island. The arrival of their son Miles and her desire to be closer to family during his upbringing ultimately led them back to the area and to Babylon Dental Care.
While Dr. Hsu played a role in introducing Dr. Diamond to our practice, it is her unique skills and insights that will make her an invaluable addition to our team. Dr. Clifford and Jenn Brown have always prioritized serving the local community, and Dr. Diamond’s experience in cosmetic dentistry and her use of Botox injections for treating TMJ opens new avenues for patient care.
“Although Botox doesn’t eliminate subconscious habits like clenching or grinding teeth, it provides significant relief from the symptoms associated with these conditions,” she explains. “By alleviating headaches, neck pain, and muscle tension, we can greatly improve our patients’ quality of life.”
