Discover the Origins of Eminence Organics in Hungary
Eminence Organic Skin Care traces its beginnings to the traditional organic ingredients and natural skin care techniques that have been cherished by the Koronczay family for generations. The pivotal moment that directed Boldijarre and Attila Koronczay toward the skin care industry was both unexpected and life-altering. At just four years old, Boldijarre faced a daunting diagnosis of a rare form of leukemia, with a mere 0.1% chance of survival. In a bid to support his healing, his mother and grandmother turned to organic nutrition. Miraculously, Boldijarre triumphed over his illness, inspiring the brothers to dedicate their lives to enhancing wellness through organic nutrition and skin care solutions.
The Inspiring Journey to Vancouver, Canada
Years later, inspired by his recovery, Boldijarre followed in the footsteps of his family by becoming a trained esthetician, driven by a passion for natural and organic ingredients. In 1996, with the ambition of introducing organic skin care to a global audience, he and Attila set their sights on Vancouver, Canada. Boldijarre articulates: “We specifically chose Vancouver for its health-centric lifestyle and reputation as one of the greenest cities in North America. Additionally, we sought a location with a mild climate year-round, suitable for our natural and heat-sensitive products.”
Initially, the Koronczay brothers took on minimum wage jobs and renovated apartments in exchange for their living expenses. Attila recalls: “We faced years of rejection as the market struggled to recognize the advantages of organic products. Even the spa industry was hesitant to embrace organic options… For nearly a decade, my brother and I shared a sofa bed, united by a common dream and unwavering dedication to our vision and to each other.”
Transforming into a Global Brand: Eminence Organics’ Rise to Fame
It took nine years for Eminence Organics to gain traction in North America. The company began modestly, with Boldijarre operating at a local spa and sharing his skin care line with private clients. His reputation for organic facials and authentic Hungarian massage techniques quickly grew, resulting in an extensive waitlist. Meanwhile, Attila utilized his engineering and logistics expertise to manage business operations, ensuring the smooth transition of Eminence Organics products from Hungary to North America.
Today, Boldijarre stands as a revered figure in the spa industry, celebrated as a Master Esthetician. His innovative skin care products have attracted an array of A-list clientele, including renowned personalities such as Katherine Heigl, Laura Dern, and Kristen Bell. Attila remains at the helm of daily operations, overseeing farm production, product development, and manufacturing processes in Hungary, ensuring that each product aligns with our commitment to quality.
Although our central office is located in Vancouver, we maintain strong connections to our Hungarian roots. Many often inquire, “Is Eminence truly made in Hungary?” The answer is a resounding yes—each of our products is formulated in Hungary, where a significant portion is also manufactured before being transported to Canada for meticulous hand pouring. While we source a variety of our natural, organic, and Biodynamic® ingredients from around the globe, the majority are still cultivated in Hungary.
