In-Depth Analysis of the Lip Color Formula

The Kosas Weightless Lip Color formula is designed to deliver a “satiny smooth, creamy” texture that offers hydration and claims to provide “medium coverage.” However, based on my trials across various shades, the pigmentation was found to be nearly opaque or fully opaque, indicating that the coverage is significantly more than the advertised medium level.
The texture of the lipstick is lightweight yet creamy and smooth, which gives it an appealing application experience. However, I noticed that the sticks were somewhat prone to melting, as nearly all of mine suffered from being weak—either angled or partially broken at the base. This fragility was not expected given the smooth texture, as they did not exhibit a high slip when applied to my lips.
In terms of longevity, the lighter shades maintained their color for about three to four hours, feeling more non-drying than hydrating on my lips. Conversely, the mid-tone and deeper shades lasted four to five hours, sharing a similar non-drying sensation. Interestingly, while they felt a bit “thicker” than the average bullet-style lipstick, they did not appear thick during application.
The formula features a subtle, sweet vanilla scent without any discernible taste, adding to the overall pleasant experience of using this product.
