For once, I am right on schedule! Although I long for the days when I could effortlessly create intricate nail art, I realize that my patience for such detailed work has waned significantly. Recently, I experienced some stress when I lost my dental crown for the second time while flossing. It was precariously hanging, so I managed to push it back into place and promptly contacted my dentist to secure an emergency appointment for Wednesday, my day off. Fortunately, he was able to accommodate me, and I am hopeful that a new crown will solve my problems, especially after this one has caused issues multiple times over the last year. I have been exceptionally cautious about my diet, as I have been informed that crowns can last anywhere from 10 to 20 years!
As I was initially disheartened by the crown incident, I hadn’t yet painted my nails and considered skipping the nail art altogether. However, I quickly reminded myself that I successfully managed to reinsert the crown and was not in any pain, so why should this minor setback ruin my evening?
I decided to keep my manicure relatively simple yet stylish, as I had an urge for some sleek soap nails and a touch of glitter. To achieve this look, I applied two coats of OPI Bubble Bath*, which is perfect for achieving that coveted soap nail effect. Following that, I sponged on shades from the NCLA x cutepolish collaboration, using Gamer Girl (a vibrant green) and Face Reveal (a stunning gold) to create an adorable French manicure style that adds flair without being overly complicated.
Wishing everyone a fantastic Monday and a joyful St. Paddy’s Day!
