On the personal front, work is gradually improving, with positive changes on the horizon. However, I find myself battling yet another cold. Previously, I was rarely sick, but since 2022, I’ve noticed a pattern of catching colds right before and after the holiday season. This latest bout came after Casey returned from Montreal, where he fell ill about five days ago. Interestingly, he seldom catches illnesses from me, yet I often find myself under the weather after he gets sick. Remarkably, he has managed to avoid COVID during my two infections, which I find quite impressive. Currently, I’m nursing this cold with numerous cups of soothing tea, but the drop in temperature hasn’t helped my situation. Just yesterday, the temperature in Vancouver plummeted by 10 degrees, leaving my apartment at a frigid -12 degrees! As I type this, I’m bundled up in fingerless gloves to keep warm!
