Businesswoman Iris Smit (pictured), who won a spot on the Forbes 30 under 30 list for the $15 million beauty empire, has shared her hack for ‘levelling up life for the better’
To ‘manifest’ success in 2023, Iris told her followers to write down their big life vision, list the obstacles in the way of that vision, set a 90-day goal and create a vision board
‘We’re calling this the 2023 growth hack, but you can utilize this technique every year. In fact, I apply this every 90 days… every single time I complete this task, it elevates me to the next level,’ Iris shared enthusiastically.
To kick off the process, the dynamic entrepreneur advises individuals to articulate their grandest vision for their life, treating this exercise as if ‘absolutely anything is possible.’ This mindset encourages creativity and expansive thinking, serving as a powerful motivator.
‘If you had no limitations, what would that grand vision for your ideal life look like?’ she prompted her audience.
The next crucial step, according to Iris, is to dissect what you perceive as barriers preventing you from achieving your grand vision and devise strategies to navigate these challenges. This step is essential for personal growth and overcoming self-imposed limitations.
‘Often, these barriers or limiting beliefs stem from fear. To delve deeper, consider writing down the absolute worst outcome that could occur if you took a risk,’ she explained. This reflective exercise is designed to confront fears directly, enabling individuals to manage and mitigate them.
‘This exercise is incredibly empowering as it helps to identify and uproot those fears that hold you back,’ she emphasized.
As the third step, Iris encourages setting a manageable 90-day goal that aligns with achieving your grand life vision.
‘Write this goal as if it has already been achieved, mimicking the style of a personal journal entry. Focus intently on the emotions and thoughts surrounding your goal,’ she advised. This technique reinforces positive thinking and visualization.
‘Ensure your writing is positive and in the present tense. I always conclude my journaling with, ‘I am so grateful that all of this has occurred, if not better.’ This openness allows for the possibility of even greater outcomes than I envisioned,’ Iris added.
Iris recommends reciting the 90-day goal ‘every morning and night’ to reinforce commitment and focus.
The final step in Iris’s transformative growth plan is to incorporate this vision into a visual format, such as a vision board. This board can be displayed prominently on a wall or set as a screensaver on your phone or computer to keep your aspirations front and center.
‘I promise you, if you do this you will watch your life transform. Future you will absolutely thank you,’ she said in an online video
‘I have been implementing this method for several years now, and you can utilize this technique every 90 days for accelerated personal growth,’ Iris stated in the video’s caption.
‘It has continuously transformed my life, both personally and professionally.’
Many of Iris’s followers expressed enthusiasm for adopting her method for their own lives.
‘I love this idea. I will definitely be trying it out,’ one follower commented, while another excitedly shared, ‘I just created my vision board for 2023!’
‘Absolutely LOVE this! I practice this regularly too,’ another user chimed in.
Iris went from rejecting a $300,000 Shark Tank offer to building a $15 million beauty empire. She revealed her best-selling products are the two she launched in late 2021 containing SPF

Iris has demonstrated remarkable achievement, transitioning from declining a $300,000 Shark Tank investment offer to successfully creating a thriving $15 million beauty empire from the ground up.
In her entrepreneurial journey, she revealed that her top-selling products are the two innovative items she introduced in late 2021, both of which contain SPF, reflecting her commitment to quality and effective skincare solutions.
Iris actively promotes the importance of SPF, especially during the sunny seasons, through her Quick Screen range. This product line has generated ‘explosive, triple-digit growth’ for her brand, highlighting consumer demand for effective sun protection.
Having gained recognition for her initial hit product, The Quick Flick, which revolutionized the way women apply eyeliner, Iris subsequently launched the Quick Screen range. This innovative line features a three-in-one moisturizer and finishing spray that allows users to reapply sunscreen even over makeup, providing essential sun protection without disrupting their beauty routine.

Iris noted that the rapid success of the Quick Screen range illustrates a growing demand for enhanced suncare and skincare solutions within the Australian beauty industry.
‘Even with these products, there remains a significant gap in the market for SPF offerings that seamlessly integrate into skincare routines – our results indicate that Australian customers are actively seeking better options than those that have previously existed.
‘Traditionally, brands producing SPF products have not taken into account the entire beauty regimen of consumers. For instance, the challenges posed when reapplying sunscreen over a full face of makeup or the issues of layering cream and powder products over sunscreen, which can lead to pilling or splitting,’ she explained.
‘Having grown up in Western Australia, I’ve witnessed the detrimental effects of excessive UV exposure on the skin, and from my experiences with friends and family, skin cancer and UV damage do not discriminate by age.’
Not only does the sunscreen shield your face from the sun, but it also protects your skin against blue light damage from digital gadgets

Her sunscreen product line not only protects your skin from harmful UV rays but also shields it from blue light damage caused by digital screens.
The collection features two innovative suncare products, including a facial lotion and an invisible-finish mist, each priced at $45. This pricing strategy reflects the value and quality of her formulations.
‘I aimed to challenge myself to innovate and enhance the existing products available to consumers,’ the determined entrepreneur stated.
‘I am incredibly proud to introduce not just one but two products to the market that seamlessly integrate skincare and suncare, addressing various challenges consumers face with traditional suncare products.’
Throughout the two-year development journey, Iris mentioned that the process ‘really tested’ her resilience and creativity.
‘Developing two new products concurrently during a pandemic and navigating all the requirements for Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) certification was certainly challenging,’ she shared.

‘Let me tell you, Australia is the most challenging country to get a sunscreen product approved. Our determination to challenge conventional sunscreen formulas led to two years of meticulous refinement and numerous rounds of product samples.</
