As I embark on my third week of the #LunarFebruary challenge, I’m feeling a bit nostalgic for the vibrant pinks and reds typically associated with Valentine’s Day. However, I’ve discovered a newfound appreciation for the creativity in nail art. It’s truly exciting to see the various designs that people have created, and I find joy in experimenting with my own styles! This year has also brought a delightful wave of dragon-themed products from popular brands, such as LEGO’s “Auspicious Dragon” and Coach’s embroidered dragon apparel. Additionally, Fendi’s Pokémon collaboration has me drooling, although I can’t justify the $4000 price tag on a bag that would remain unused—so I’ll simply admire it from a distance.
During my time with Beauteque’s subscription boxes, I encountered several masks from the renowned Korean brand Botanic Farm. Initially, I overlooked these masks as they didn’t catch my eye compared to my other options. However, after a thorough organization of my sheet masks last summer, I rediscovered these three gems and decided it was time for a collective review. Entering my 40s, I’ve found peace in simplicity, and the zen-like packaging of these masks resonates with my aesthetic.
Tea Tree Mask*

What sets this mask apart? This exceptional mask features tea tree extract, renowned for its clarifying yet soothing properties for the skin. Personally, I’ve always enjoyed the invigorating aroma of tea tree oil. Although I don’t actively seek out clarifying masks, I appreciate their aromatherapeutic benefits that contribute to an overall relaxing experience.

The mask material is crafted from natural cellulose and features a unique “micro-pore layer” that is merely 10-20 microns thick, allowing the essence to penetrate deeply into the skin. All three masks fit exceptionally well, appearing to blend seamlessly into my complexion. For a price of only $1 each, the quality is surprisingly impressive!

Cost: These delightful masks retail for around $1 USD, making them incredibly affordable for their outstanding quality!
Benefits: This mask is ideal for calming irritation while also providing clarifying effects.
Fragrance: The scent is reminiscent of tea tree, described by my husband as “like teenage acne medication, but in a good way.”
Essence Type: The essence is clear and slightly viscous, leaning more towards a watery consistency.
Application Duration: Keep the mask on for approximately 25 minutes to enjoy its full benefits.
Thickness: This mask is exceptionally thin—almost translucent in appearance.
Mask Fit: The fit is generally good, with only a few minor creases that were difficult to smooth out.
Tackiness: There is no tackiness whatsoever, allowing for a pleasant application experience!
Hydration Level: While it provides moderate hydration, I felt the need for an additional boost, particularly for my normal to dry skin type.

What makes this mask special? This mask is enriched with moisturizing and soothing aloe vera, along with grapefruit extract, white tea extract, and hyaluronic acid. Additionally, it contains a variety of beneficial plant extracts, including ginkgo biloba, peach, and Japanese honeysuckle. Despite alcohol being listed among the top ingredients, I found this mask to be remarkably hydrating and not drying at all!

Rice Mask*

What makes this mask special? The key ingredient here is rice! It is well-known for its brightening and refreshing properties. Personally, I’ve always included rice in my skincare routine, as I find my skin reacts positively to it. This mask stood out as the most hydrating option of the trio!
