A failed getaway saw a gang of youths apprehended for allegedly stealing designer perfumes.
Officers were called to Eastleigh on Friday after Superdrug employees said they saw the group of four pilfering away gift sets and perfumes.
Their inquiries led them to Eastleigh train station following reports of four youths causing criminal damage to a vending machine on platform two.
Upon arrival, officers requested railway staff to keep a train stopped on platform three so searches could be carried out.

Officers boarded the train carriage by carriage, obtained details, and searched all those who matched the description given by CCTV operators.
Two suspects were located on the train and fully searched by officers who discovered a quantity of perfumes on their persons.
Both Superdrug and Boots stores confirmed the stolen items belonged to them.
Officers are now dealing with the identified suspects whilst inquiries are ongoing to identify the two other males.
