The June Ipsy Glam Bag arrived a bit later than expected. According to the tracking information, it seemed to linger in New Jersey for several weeks before finally making its way to my doorstep. I have a neighbor who also subscribes to the Glam Bag service, and I often use her delivery as a timeline reference for my own. When her Glam Bag arrived two weeks prior to mine, I began to feel uneasy about my own package’s whereabouts. Thankfully, Ipsy’s customer service was incredibly reassuring. In their exact words, “We got you!” which put my mind at ease regarding the potential loss of my Glam Bag!

Upon receiving the FIRST AID BEAUTY Brighten + Glow Moisturizer, I was genuinely thrilled since I am a fan of FAB products! This moisturizer boasts a lightweight, gel-cream texture enriched with vitamin C, papaya, ginger extract, and peach micro-pearls, all of which work together to give your skin a radiant and healthy glow. While it does indeed deliver on its promises to brighten the complexion, I must admit that I experienced a noticeable warming sensation upon application. Although it wasn’t painful, it was surprising, especially for someone like myself who is accustomed to various skincare sensations. After reading reviews, I discovered that others have reported similar experiences. Despite this, my skin looked absolutely fantastic, leading me to consider this a possible trade-off. I still have mixed feelings about this moisturizer, but I intend to continue using it due to the positive results I observed. I received a deluxe mini size valued at $8.80 USD.

When it comes to mascara, I typically keep my expectations low due to my sparse lashes. However, the WANDER BEAUTY Mile High Club™ mascara completely changed my perspective. It features a precision brush and a water-resistant formula that nourishes lashes with castor seed oil, trehalose (known for its lengthening properties), and peach leaf extract. To my surprise, it worked excellently, providing my lashes with impressive length! I always apply a Dior mascara primer underneath any mascara, and while I came across reviews mentioning flaking, I did not experience any issues myself. I’ve worn this mascara daily since receiving it, from morning to night, without any problems. Once I run out, I will definitely be purchasing this from Sephora! I received a deluxe mini size valued at $10.11 USD.
Experience Radiance with JLO BEAUTY | That JLo Glow™ Brightening & Firming Serum Featuring Niacinamide
Surprisingly, my sample choice for the month was the JLO BEAUTY That JLo Glow™ serum, as I prefer skincare products in my Glam Bag over makeup items. Having used this serum in the past, I was pleased to find it to be a delightful niacinamide option. Although it comes with a hefty price tag, I have never purchased the full size from Sephora. Interestingly, the full-size version was available for $12 USD as an Ipsy Add-On, while it retails for $107 CAD at Sephora. The price difference is substantial, isn’t it? I received a deluxe mini valued at $13.17 USD.
Overall Assessment of the June Ipsy Glam Bag: Taking into account the current exchange rate, the total value of June’s Ipsy Glam Bag was approximately $67.38 CAD, significantly exceeding the $28 CAD I spent (including shipping). However, I feel that the full-size bronzer/highlighter duo, priced at $22 USD, does not truly justify its cost. This situation is common in subscription services where the perceived value can be inflated. On a positive note, I found a new favorite mascara that I absolutely love!
