While this ingredient is generally safe, it can pose potential risks if it hasn’t been properly tested for contaminants like toluene, ethylene oxide, and 1,4-dioxane. While we haven’t specifically tested Lume for PAHs and Ethylene Oxide, we do not utilize these ingredients, nor do our manufacturers for other products. These substances are primarily cleaning agents, which we do not use or source for our brands.

Our fragrances are added in low percentages to minimize allergens and are free from phthalates, parabens, formaldehyde, and formaldehyde donors.”
While it’s reassuring to learn that they prioritize safety, I still found the scent overwhelming for my personal preference. It felt as if I was wearing a perfume, rather than a deodorant. Thus far, I’ve only tried the Minted Cucumber scent but found it too potent; I definitely favored the unscented versions instead.
