What would it take to be the face of the bestselling fragrance in the world? Well, the looks and fan following of Johnny Depp, for starters! The actor has once again been roped in for a multi-year contract for the brand’s Sauvage perfume. The seven-figure deal will include a new series of campaigns featuring Depp and his work in music. A teaser that was revealed yesterday for the first campaign showed the actor at his performance with Jeff Beck at Olympia Hall in Paris where he explains his connection with the scent.
The said campaign will also use photos of the performance as beautifully captured by Greg Williams. Commenting on it, Dior posted on Instagram with a caption that read: “Watch @johnnydepp as he takes the stage at @olympiahall in Paris, the legendary concert venue where he saw @vanessa.paradis and introduced his kids to @bobdylan. Like Sauvage, it represents the idea of something fearless yet human.”
Fans were quick to comment on the photo in support of Depp and Dior. However, this isn’t the first time that Depp has been the face of Sauvage. He first signed the deal with Dior in 2017, and since then, the scent has grown to become the best-selling fragrance in the world. During the Amber – Depp trial, it was rumored that the brand had dropped Depp from the deal, however, it was later clarified to be untrue. For now, it is confirmed that Depp will continue as the brand ambassador for Sauvage and expectedly take its sales to new heights! Let’s wait and watch, shall we?
