A single mature tree can produce roughly 260 pounds of oxygen annually, playing a vital role in combating climate change by lowering air temperatures and stabilizing soil through its root systems. Additionally, trees enhance land fertility through nitrogen fixation and improve water absorption, further supporting ecological balance and sustainability.

Our Green Spa Program is designed to acknowledge and reward businesses that not only support the green movement but also inspire others in the beauty industry to adopt eco-friendly practices. To achieve recognition as an Eminence Organics Green Spa, businesses must meet at least 60% of our rigorous green standards. These standards include the use of reusable or biodegradable products whenever feasible, implementing power strips in treatment rooms, and ensuring they are turned off when not in use. Additionally, participating spas are required to develop recycling awareness programs and utilize natural, non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning supplies instead of harmful chemical alternatives.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification guarantees that products are composed of 100% virgin material sourced from FSC-certified forests, providing consumers with confidence that their purchases are environmentally sound and aligned with strict ecological and social standards.

5. Committed to Sustainability: Our Green Office Building Practices

As our company continues to grow, we have relocated to a larger central office to enhance our award-winning service to our Spa Partners. In this expansion, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to eco-friendly practices. Rather than constructing a new building, we opted to expand into an existing structure next door, significantly reducing our carbon footprint. Our current office design maximizes natural light through large windows and skylights, promoting energy efficiency. We utilize carpet tiles made from 60% recycled materials and have renovated our walls with non-toxic paint that contains low levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Energy-efficient appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, and eight LED TVs, further contribute to our sustainable practices, along with the implementation of LED bulbs controlled by eco-friendly timers and motion sensors. Our waste management system is designed for sustainability, featuring designated sections for compostable materials.

6. Environmentally Conscious Shipping Materials & Sugar Sheet Paper for Office Use

In our commitment to eco-friendliness, we prioritize natural plant-based materials for our shipping supplies and office paper. Our shipping materials consist of biodegradable packing popcorn and unbleached kraft paper, both of which are sustainable choices. The packing popcorn is derived from biodegradable sources like potato or corn starch, dissolving in water without leaving any toxic or hazardous waste. Inside our office, we utilize sugar sheets for printing; these edible sheets are crafted from 100% natural sugar cane fiber residue, which aids in forest preservation and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

7. Innovative Packaging: Eminence Organics Paper Bag for Eco-Friendly Shopping

We are excited to introduce our redesigned Eminence Organics paper bag, reflecting our unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability. The handles are constructed from woven paper, making the entire bag 100% recyclable and biodegradable. The non-tapered design enhances usability, providing greater convenience when carrying your products. Unlike traditional carrier bags with rope handles, which often utilize cotton or polyester—materials that complicate recycling efforts due to potential contamination—our new design promotes ease of recycling and waste reduction.
