As I reflect on my journey as a beauty enthusiast, I can’t help but question my current status as a “beauty blogger.” It’s been challenging to maintain a consistent flow of makeup posts, especially when I find myself struggling to get “dolled up” on my days off with no special occasion to dress up for. Ideally, I should utilize my workdays to document my makeup journey, but time management has become a hurdle. Mornings often slip away as I juggle various tasks, leaving little time for capturing the glam looks I envisioned. Additionally, my everyday work makeup lacks the flair that resonates with my blog’s aesthetic. For captivating photos that draw attention on social media, I always find that a touch of lashes is essential. Without my trusted Falscara wisps, my makeup tends to fall flat in pictures. This ongoing struggle reinforces my identity as a night owl, as morning makeup routines need to be efficient and foolproof!
After spending several months experimenting with the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow Sticks, I feel compelled to share my thoughts. While I’ve tried various cream eyeshadow sticks from different brands, I must admit that these did not leave me in awe, especially considering their price point. These convenient, swipe-and-go eyeshadow sticks claim to offer an impressive 24-hour wear time. They are designed to be blendable with just your fingers—no brush needed—while also promising a budge-proof, non-creasing, non-flaking formula that remains true to its color. The creamy texture is indeed smooth, but the overall performance didn’t quite meet my expectations.

For my review, I received three travel-sized eyeshadow sticks—two in a stunning metallic finish and one matte. This size turned out to be quite convenient, especially since I took them along with me on my trip to Paris! The full-sized version retails for $44 CAD and comes in an extensive range of 24 shades. Although I suspect the minis were a limited edition, the selected shades provided a fantastic sampling of versatile neutrals that most beauty lovers would appreciate.

Additionally, Cashew, part of the Real Nudes collection, is a versatile medium red tone beige. It serves as an excellent base shade for layering color on the lid or for those days when I prefer a minimalist look.

Final verdict: In comparison to other luxury brands offering similar products, I find these eyeshadow sticks to be somewhat on par, but they haven’t set themselves apart in a significant way. To motivate me to purchase a shade, it would need to be a unique neutral that I don’t already own. I liken these to the Laura Mercier Caviar Eyeshadow sticks, as both have comparable wear times and application simplicity. If I discover a shade that suits me, I would eagerly add it to my collection, as the color payoff is commendable. Although the intensity does fade as the day progresses, it remains subtle enough to not be overly noticeable at a glance. Overall, these eyeshadow sticks surpass some other brands I’ve tried, making them a worthy consideration if you’re in search of a reliable, long-lasting eyeshadow option!
