A Hutchinson native came back to her hometown after finishing chiropractic school and opened an office on 30th Avenue where she treats patients of all ages, from infants to elderly patients. Her two assistants are also Hutchinson natives.
This month, the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce named Revive Chiropractic and Acupuncture July’s Small Business of the Month.
Dr. Stacia Biel, chiropractor and owner of Revive Chiropractic and Acupuncture, works with patients alongside a chiropractic assistant, Kayci Glass, and an office manager, Janelle Vieyra.
“I’m a family-focused practice,” Biel said. “I see everybody, but I definitely focus a lot on pregnancy and young kids.”
The small chiropractic practice operates from 210 E. 30th Ave., in Hutchinson, where Biel said she focuses on family care.

Biel grew up in Hutchinson, trained in chiropractic and acupuncture practices, at Cleveland Chiropractic College and returned to Hutchinson to begin Revive Chiropractic in 2015.
While earning her Doctor of Chiropractic, Biel studied acupuncture for four years and decided to incorporate the practice permanently into her business, offering it to new and returning patients.
“It’s not a painful experience; that’s usually what people are nervous about,” Biel said. “The needles are so tiny that it’s always a lot less intense than what (patients) think.”
Biel trained at the American Society of Acupuncturists and earned the highest certification a chiropractor can achieve, a diplomate in acupuncture.
The practice of acupuncture includes dozens of thin needles placed into specific locations or regions of any part of the body.
Biel said she often recommends it as a gentle alternative to chiropractic care or as treatment options for anxiety, depression, neuropathy and other mental ailments.
“Acupuncture is pretty cool because it hits so many different things that maybe chiropractic practices itself wouldn’t focus on,” Biel said.

One of Biel’s focuses is expecting mothers and young children — she offers gentle chiropractic sessions for back pain during pregnancy, pre-labor treatments and later treatments for infants and young children.
Biel said she began family care on day one at Revive Chiropractic and said it helps new mothers relieve back pain and headaches and prepare the body for labor.
“I’ve seen many women go through several different pregnancies,” Biel said. “I have a lot of patients who specifically want a natural or home birth, and so a lot of my postgraduate training has been trying to make that easier for them .”
Chiropractic care goes beyond regular patients, where Biel said she often treats other chiropractors and suggests specific care focuses from the other offices in Hutchinson.
She described Hutchinson’s chiropractic scene as connected.
“Some of my very best friends in Hutch are chiropractors, so it’s definitely not a very competitive community,” Biel said. “We’re all just about people getting and feeling better, we want to do what’s best for that patient.”
