This week has been a whirlwind, moving at lightning speed, and I find myself feeling overwhelmed, as if I’m constantly trying to catch up. At work, we’ve had a series of significant corporate visits that seem to consume half of my day, alongside the onboarding of a new hire, which requires additional time and effort to ensure they are well-integrated and functioning efficiently. It’s been challenging to carve out personal time amidst these demands. Today, finally, I had a brief moment to myself in the late afternoon. Even though my role primarily revolves around serving others, my true passion lies in engaging directly with clients. During weeks like this, where I feel disconnected from my primary responsibilities, I can sense my energy levels diminishing. Tomorrow presents a glimmer of hope, as I have about three dedicated hours to focus on essential tasks before diving back into client interactions, which I truly cherish.

I chose to wear this vibrant shade of red on a day when I desperately needed an empowering boost. Even though I ultimately left work feeling quite disheartened, I did manage to have stunning nails that day! It’s fascinating how a simple color can uplift your spirits and provide a sense of confidence, even amid challenges.

Reflecting on my work-life balance, I haven’t taken any time off since early April, and I genuinely feel the toll it’s taking on my well-being. Fortunately, I have some much-needed time off planned for the end of June and the beginning of July to celebrate my birthday, and I am eagerly anticipating that break. There’s something particularly thrilling about turning 41, especially compared to the previous year’s milestone. Perhaps it’s because I faced some health issues, like shingles, a few months prior, which made my 40th year feel like an uphill battle. This upcoming year feels more promising, filled with hope and new opportunities.
