With a Miniso store conveniently located just a block from my workplace, I often visit to pick up a variety of Asian snacks and explore their selection of Asian skincare and makeup products. Recently, I discovered a collection of eye-catching sheet masks from Miniso, each adorned with playful packaging and enticing scents.
To begin, I noticed that all the masks in the collection had a uniform appearance, featuring a slightly viscous, clear essence. This was somewhat disappointing, as the packaging suggested a more vibrant and engaging visual experience. For a product labeled as the “Comic Style Facial Mask,” I expected the masks to be more visually stimulating. the true charm of these masks lies in their delightful scents rather than their visual appeal. I felt it was important to share this observation upfront.
The packaging prominently displays the primary benefit of each mask, and in this instance, the standout feature is the Strawberry Cake scent. Upon reviewing the back, I noted in small print that all four masks claim to be “moisturizing,” indicating that the scents are what truly differentiate these products. While the mask does contain actual strawberry fruit extract, it appears as the final ingredient on the list.

This particular mask emitted a delightful strawberry candy fragrance and boasted a soft, stretchy fit. I found that it was slightly large on the sides of my face. Unfortunately, the finish of this mask felt quite tacky, causing me to stick to my pillowcase well into the morning.
This mask had a fragrance reminiscent of an instant Asian coffee, with a milky sweetness that I thoroughly enjoyed. Compared to the Strawberry Cake mask, this one had only a slight tackiness, allowing for a more comfortable sleep experience. The ingredient list also includes coffee seed extract, which is located towards the end of the list.

This mask had a flavor reminiscent of milky Calpis or Yakult, beverages familiar to many. Its essence was only slightly tacky, which did not interfere with my sleep. The front of the mask indicates the inclusion of “lactic acid,” but this is mentioned as the very last ingredient.

Regrettably, this mask did not have a scent reminiscent of pineapple or any recognizable fruit. If I concentrated, I could detect a faint citrus aroma, but it was challenging to identify. The essence felt more tacky compared to the Coffee and Calpis masks, yet less so than the Strawberry Cake mask. This mask does contain pineapple extract, which is not the last ingredient, making it slightly better than the others.

You can find the Comic Style Facial Sheet Mask Collection at any Miniso location.
