This week’s manicure did not turn out as I envisioned, leading to an unexpected but amusing result. Although it wasn’t the intended effect, I received several compliments on my nails, which was a pleasant surprise. My husband humorously remarked that my nails resembled “bacteria growing in a petri dish,” which inspired the title of this post. In my opinion, they evoke the imagery of the Ishihara Test used for detecting color blindness. Despite my tendency to want to redo my nails or cover up imperfections, I’m embracing this week’s unique take on bacterial nail art!
Green is undoubtedly one of my favorite colors to experiment with in nail art, and I hope to channel my creativity into trying several different designs this month. While I haven’t splurged on new shades recently—given my ever-growing collection of untried polishes—I did receive some exciting new press samples for Spring, which have sparked my enthusiasm! For today’s manicure, my original plan was to create a gradient dotticure, but I ended up applying too many dots, resulting in this unique look instead…
