Hello, Hex Squad! Today, I’m thrilled to unveil my stunning Monster High Draculaura Costume. This Draculaura Cosplay is a creative mix of pieces I found in my wardrobe, along with some exciting additions. Since I often wear black and hot pink, assembling this outfit was both enjoyable and effortless. To ensure every detail was just right, I consulted with my friend Mia, a Monster High expert with an impressive collection of Draculaura outfits. Her insightful tweaks helped refine my costume, making it a true standout!

Achieve the Perfect Draculaura Makeup Look

BROWS
For achieving the perfect brows, I recommend using Nyx Clear The Brow Glue (vegan) for a strong hold, followed by Silk Naturals Tour loose eyeshadow (use code CORDELIA to save 10%)(vegan) for a touch of color.
EYES
Start with a base using *Kaleidos Eye Primer, and then apply *VE Quantum Prime for Rebellion Base (vegan)(use code CORDELIA to save 10%) for a vibrant lid. Next, use the Blend Bunny Lure Palette, focusing on the shades Baited and Black Sea (both vegan) to create depth. I also incorporated *VE What We Imagine Multichrome Liquid Pigment (vegan) for a dazzling effect. For sharp lines, apply *VE Ankh Stamp n Seal Liner (black liquid liner at the upper lashline)(vegan) and Nyx Quartz Queen eyeliner on the lower waterline (vegan). Finish off the look with Thrive Causemetics Brynn Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara (vegan)(get $15 off your first order of $50) for luscious lashes.
FACE
To achieve a glowing complexion, I started with Auric Morganite Glow Lust Luminizer (vegan) as my base. This provides a radiant glow. Next, I used Iconic London Cool Fair Super Smoother Blurring Skin Tint (vegan) as foundation, ensuring I blended it down my neck for consistency. For contouring, I dotted Silk Naturals Nougat Contour Stick (vegan) behind my jaw and blended it well. The Persona Bubble Cream Blush Stick (vegan) added a pop of color, while Danessa Myricks It Girl blush (vegan) layered for extra vibrancy. To finish, I applied *VE Witch Please contour powder (vegan) along my jawline, followed by Haus Labs Rose Quartz highlighter as blush (vegan) for added dimension. A light dusting of Huda Beauty Pound Cake Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder (cruelty-free) ensured a flawless finish.
LIPS
For the lips, I started with Black Moon Sleepwalker Liquid Lipstick (vegan) to outline, feathering towards the center. I then added Urban Decay Shockwave Glossy Liquid Lipstick (vegan) to the center, blending it out with a brush. To complete the look, a touch of *VE Innocent gloss (vegan) gave an iridescent finish.

Step-by-Step Eyeshadow Application
Here’s a detailed guide on how I crafted my captivating eye look for the Monster High Draculaura Costume.
- First, after applying my eyeshadow primer, I used a Sigma E27 brush to apply VE Quantum Prime for Rebellion Base to my lid and lower lid.
- Next, with a small blending brush, I used the Blend Bunny Baited Lure Palette to blend out the edges of the pink color all over my lids.
- Utilizing the doe foot applicator, I applied VE What We Imagine Multichrome Liquid Pigment to the center of my lids, blending upwards for a seamless transition.
- I then lined my eyes and created a small wing with VE Ankh Stamp n Seal Liner for definition.
- To enhance the liner, using a small angled brush, I patted Blend Bunny Black Sea Lure Palette on top of the liner for a smoky effect.
- To brighten the lower waterline, I applied Nyx Quartz Queen eyeliner.
- I finished my eye look with Thrive Causemetics Brynn Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara, though you could opt for cluster lashes for added drama.
Adding a Heart Detail
Don’t forget to add a heart below the left eye for that signature Draculaura touch!
- I used Stila Sting Ray Stay All Day Smudge & Set Waterproof Gel Eye Liner to draw the heart.
- With a small angled brush, I set the heart using Blend Bunny Black Sea (Lure Palette).
Flawless Complexion Tips
I prefer light to medium coverage for my complexion products to achieve a natural glow. I typically layer powder products on top of cream to enhance the look. Here’s how I crafted my complexion for the Monster High Draculaura Costume.
- Starting with Auric Morganite Glow Lust Luminizer as my primer/base, I achieved a radiant glow. Remember to let it set for at least 60 seconds after blending.
- Next, I applied Iconic London Cool Fair Super Smoother Blurring Skin Tint as my foundation, using fingertips initially and then smoothing it out with a brush.
- For contouring, I used Silk Naturals Nougat Contour Stick, applying it behind my jaw and blending it down for a subtle effect.
- To add color, I applied Persona Bubble Cream Blush Stick on the outer part of my cheekbone, blending it with my fingertips.
- Next, I tapped on Danessa Myricks It Girl blush with my fingertips for extra vibrancy.
- Using VE Witch Please contour powder, I blended it over the areas where I placed the Nougat contour stick for added definition.
- For a pop of color, I added Haus Labs Rose Quartz highlighter as blush on top of It Girl.
- Lastly, I set everything with Huda Beauty Pound Cake Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder, lightly patting it all over my face to blur imperfections.
- I strategically applied Kaleidos Moon Cruiser Highlighter around my eyes in a C shape, above my eyebrows, and on the tip of my nose.
- I finished off my look by locking everything in with Iconic London Prep-Set-Glow Spray on my face, neck, and décolleté.
Creating the Lip Gradient
Here’s how I achieved the stunning lip gradient for my Monster High Draculaura Costume. If you have fuller lips, this gradient effect will be even more pronounced!
- I outlined my lips with Black Moon Sleepwalker Liquid Lipstick, using a small stiff brush to feather the black towards the center of my lips.
- Next, I applied Urban Decay Shockwave Glossy Liquid Lipstick to the center of my lips, blending it out with a brush.
- Finally, I topped everything off with *VE Innocent gloss for a beautiful iridescent effect.

Mastering the Iconic Draculaura Hair

My hair features a striking combination of Manic Panic Pink Warrior and black shades, perfectly mirroring Draculaura’s iconic hair. Plus, it’s worth noting that Manic Panic donates 15% of the sales from Pink Warrior to Breast Cancer Research at BCRF.org, which makes this choice even more meaningful.

If dyeing your hair isn’t your style, you can always opt for a fabulous Draculaura wig to complete your look.

WHAT I’M WEARING
Showcasing Unique Jewelry Choices
For my Monster High Draculaura Costume, I aimed for large, eye-catching earrings that truly stand out. When selecting a necklace, I opted for a spiked choker, which is both classic and versatile enough to pair with many outfits. I absolutely adore both pieces, especially knowing they are handmade. Navigating through the vast selection on Etsy can be challenging, but finding those unique handmade gems is always rewarding! The earrings, in particular, feature a huggy style hoop, making them easy to wear even with my long nails.
While I admire the Kreepsville 666 Hot Pink Bat Outline Headband design, I find that hard headbands like this can be uncomfortable for extended wear. I’m considering switching it out for a more comfortable black bat hair clip.
Choosing the Perfect Bag and Shoes
Draculaura is renowned for her fabulous footwear and accessories, so I knew I had to go all out when selecting my shoes and bag.
Hot Chocolate has an impressive variety of cute shoes, but I ultimately chose the Lilith Mary Jane Pumps, which
