This marks a refreshing week for me as I finally have some much-needed breathing space and a chance to catch up on various tasks at work. After an intense Sunday working shift, which is unusual since we are typically closed, I got a day off today following the most dreaded retail event – INVENTORY. We kicked things off at 8 am and, through focused teamwork, wrapped up most of it around noon. The other manager and I continued until 2 pm, addressing some discrepancies, but ultimately, we resolved them, and our inventory results were nearly flawless!

Due to my hectic schedule last week, I was unable to craft a special Halloween manicure in advance. I had envisioned a specific design, but I encountered an unfortunate setback when I broke my pinky nail just before I was ready to start painting! Now, I must wait for my nails to grow back a bit before I can attempt my original idea. For today, my nails still reflect a Halloween theme, albeit in a more simplified manner than I had initially planned!
To kick things off, I must express my disappointment with the glitter polish. It has a very liquid consistency which made application quite challenging. Even with sponging techniques, the glitter distribution was uneven and difficult to manage. At times, it felt overly concentrated with the sponge, which was not my desired look, while other applications using just the brush resulted in sparse glitter. My husband even remarked that my manicure “looks like an afterthought,” rather than a carefully considered design, but I guess sometimes we have to roll with the punches!
