In-Depth Analysis of the Lipstick Formula
$34.00/0.05 oz. – $680.00 Per Ounce
The lipstick formula boasts a promised “10-hour wear” with “one swipe, instant payoff” that is touted as “transfer-resistant” and “lightweight” while providing “all-day comfort.” While I find the formula to be quite good—lightweight and longer-wearing with coverage that ranges from semi-opaque to opaque—it does not quite meet the 10-hour claim, lasting more in the range of five to six hours. While that’s commendable, it falls short of the extraordinary longevity that one might expect from such claims.
This lipstick features a lightweight, velvety-cream texture that glides on smoothly without any tugging, making it somewhat forgiving on varying lip textures. However, I highly recommend proper exfoliation before application to enhance overall results. While the formula exhibits some transfer resistance, it tends to lose most of that quality after meals, which contributes to its inability to reach the promised 10-hour wear. Overall, the lipstick feels more non-drying than hydrating, aligning well with the comfort claims.
It’s important to note that while the lipsticks did not swatch particularly well on my arm, they applied significantly better on my lips, a common observation I’ve noticed with more silicone-rich lipstick formulas. Additionally, they have no noticeable taste or scent, making them a pleasant option for daily wear.
One detail to keep in mind is that these lipsticks come in a slim bullet style, which is generally smaller than the typical lipstick size (commonly around 0.07 oz. for slim lipsticks compared to 0.10 oz. for standard tubes). These particular lipsticks are only 0.05 oz., making them quite petite in comparison.
